Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Giants Among Baobabs

Begin your adventure with a morning pickup from your Arusha hotel or airport. Head southwest to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and seasonal migrations. As you explore the open savannah and woodlands, expect to see giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and predators like lions and leopards. The Tarangire River, often the only water source in the dry season, draws in abundant wildlife, making for spectacular photography and close encounters.

The lush floor is dotted with lakes, grasslands, and forests—ideal for stunning photography and Big Five sightings. After a picnic lunch by a hippo pool, ascend the crater and begin your return to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
