Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Enjoy a relaxing evening as you prepare for your adventure.

Day 2: Arusha – Lake Manyara – Karatu

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, diverse birdlife, and lush groundwater forests. Enjoy a thrilling game drive along the scenic lake shores. Later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu, a charming town nestled in the highlands, for dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable lodge.

Day 3: Karatu – Lake Eyasi – Ngorongoro Highlands

Leave early with packed breakfast and head to Lake Eyasi for a cultural experience like no other. Join the Hadza, Tanzania’s last hunter-gatherers, on a traditional morning hunt. Then visit the Datoga tribe, skilled pastoralists and blacksmiths. After a local lunch, continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands, where you’ll overnight at a safari lodge perched on the crater rim, offering breathtaking views.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day. Enjoy a full day of game viewing on the Crater floor, home to elephants, rhinos, lions, and abundant wildlife. Return in the evening to your crater rim lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Day 5: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Departure

After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for lunch and access to day rooms for freshening up. Later in the afternoon, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your outbound flight.
