5-day Tanzania safari to Tarangire, Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Begin your adventure with a morning drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, famous for its iconic baobab trees and large elephant herds. Spend the day on game drives across the park’s dry riverbeds and acacia woodlands, spotting lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and possibly wild dogs. Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your wildlife exploration.

Day 2: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart for the Serengeti, crossing the Ngorongoro highlands with brief stops for scenic views. The vast plains come alive with wildlife including wildebeest, zebras, elephants, and big cats.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring the world-famous Serengeti, home to the Great Wildebeest Migration and abundant resident wildlife. Optional: take an early morning hot air balloon safari for a once-in-a-lifetime aerial view of the Serengeti.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim by late afternoon and enjoy panoramic views of the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Return to Arusha
Start early for a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and wildlife haven. Descend 600 meters to the floor and explore the crater’s rich ecosystem, home to black rhinos, lions, elephants, hyenas, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch near a hippo pool, ascend and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon.
